Best oils to beat the Coronavirus stress
A panicked state of mind seems to have become the usual for all of us across the country. With the world battling a pandemic in the form of Coronavirus, we can only hope to come out of this stronger. If you are stressed out and can't take it anymore, we suggest you look at essential oils to help you calm your nerves. We got in touch with Dr Blossom Kochhar, the pioneer of aromatherapy to share how aromatherapy and essential oils can help one in staying protected and safe from the virus. She feels that the following five oils will help you in calming your nerves and building a strong immunity.
Excerpts from a conversation with the aromatherapist:

Eucalyptus essential oilAn oil which is excellent for all respiratory problems, virus, and any flu. Take 4-5 drops in your palms and take a deep breath while smelling it. You can also use it in a diffuser or potpourri. You can put it in warm water and use it for inhalation or put a few drops on a tissue and carry it around with you.
Lavender essential oilWe all are really worried about the Coronavirus, everyday news about the virus is causing so much stress to all of us and therefore I recommend using lavender oil. This oil is an excellent anti-stress and anti-viral oil that will help you to sleep. You can use it in a diffuser or in your bath water to calm your nerves. Take a few drops, rub it under your feet and center of your hands and smell it.


Rosemary essential oilWe all are sitting at home getting depressed about what all is happening around the world, so rosemary oil will pep you up. Use it in your bath water in the morning, put a few drops in the diffuser to feel light and happy.


Thyme Essential oilAn oil that has antimicrobial properties, use thyme on tissue and clean your surroundings with it, like tables, cars, phones. It also improves your digestion, just rub it around your stomach.


Basil essential oilA very strong anti-viral oil that helps to keep your immune system strong. Put 1-2 drops in water and keep on sipping it throughout the day, if not, then definitely drink it first thing in the morning. Another way you can use it is by mixing 2-3 drops of basil oil with a carrier oil, massage it on your chest and stomach.


All these oils have anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties, so they really work and are safe to use.
